How much do 250 units of electricity cost?

How to read your meter
Your meter counts total units used since it was installed. To find how much you have used in a billing period, subtract the previous reading from the current one:
Units consumed = Current reading − Previous reading
- Find last period's reading — printed on your previous bill.
- Read the meter now. On a digital or smart meter, note the whole number of kWh shown. On a dial meter, read each dial left to right and record the lower digit when a pointer sits between two numbers.
- Subtract: current − previous = units consumed this period.
