A Real Seek Bar
Click anywhere on the track or drag the thumb to jump to any moment in the reel. Shows both played and buffered progress.
Play & Pause
A proper play/pause button on the bar, or just tap the k key — the same shortcut you already use everywhere else.
Skip ±10 Seconds
Missed the punchline? Jump back or forward ten seconds with the buttons or the , and . keys. Arrow keys stay with Instagram.
Playback Speed
Cycle 1× → 1.25× → 1.5× → 2× → 0.5× with a click. Set a default speed in settings and every new video starts there.
Auto-Next Reel
Toggle it on (or press a) and the next reel starts the moment the current one ends. Your choice is remembered.
One-Click Download
A floating button on the current video or post image grabs the highest-quality version Instagram serves. Press d for videos.
Side Panel Player
Open Instagram in Chrome's side panel and keep watching while you work in another tab. The control bar works in there too.

Why don't Instagram Reels have a seek bar?
Instagram's web player deliberately ships without a scrubber, so there's no way to jump to a specific moment — you can only watch a reel start to finish or scroll past it. ReelFlow overlays a real control bar on the video so you can seek, skip, pause, and change speed like any normal player.
Where does the control bar show up?
Anywhere a video is on screen — Reels (/reels and /reel/...), posts (/p/...), stories, and the main feed. It binds to whichever video is currently playing or most visible and follows it as you scroll, then hides itself when no video is in view.
Can I download Instagram videos and photos?
Yes. A floating download button appears in the top-right corner of the current video or post image, and pressing d downloads the video you're watching. It saves the highest-quality version Instagram serves. Please only download content you have the right to save, and respect the original creator.
Does ReelFlow collect any of my data?
No. There's no network access, no analytics, no accounts, and no tracking of any kind. The extension only reads and controls the <video> element already on the page, and your settings stay in your own browser.
What is the side panel player?
Chrome can pin a page to a panel beside your tabs. Click the ReelFlow icon and choose Open Instagram in side panel to keep reels playing next to whatever you're working on — the full control bar works inside the panel too.
Will it break when Instagram changes its design?
It's built to survive redesigns. Instead of depending on Instagram's class names, ReelFlow finds the on-screen video element generically, and the whole bar lives inside a Shadow DOM so Instagram's styles can never interfere with it.
